Are you looking for an opportunity to support a long-standing charity? Rephael House is currently seeking new Directors to join their Board. The Directors are Trustees of the Charity and, as such, are not paid for their service. This is an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting an independent mental health charity to share their skills, experience, energy and time.
We would particularly like to hear from anyone with a clinical or educational background, previous charity governance or legal experience, but welcome any applicants who are motived and equipped to contribute to the strategic direction and oversight of this vital work.
All applicants should consider the commitment requested of Directors:
- Attendance at quarterly Directors’ meetings, currently on a Monday evening via Zoom.
- Attendance at additional meetings as required, as well as engaging in correspondence between meetings.
- Although Directors are elected annually at the AGM, a long-term commitment (suggested 3-year term), facilitates stability and strong governance.
- Directors are registered with Companies House and subject to confirmation of identity and background screening.
All applicants should demonstrate:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and listening skills. with the ability to engage with all staff/volunteers as well as colleagues on the Board.
- Ability to contribute to creative thinking and effective decision making.
- Collaborative, inclusive and persuasive team working.
- Personal integrity – sharing Rephael House’s values.
