Rephael House Counselling Centre

Counselling - Support - Baby and Child Loss - Pregnancy

Bereavement - Young People - Domestic Violence

CARING - COMPASSIONATE - CONFIDENTIAL

Rephael House is an independent charity committed to serving people living in Barnet and the surrounding boroughs, by providing counselling, emotional support, information and advice, thus meeting people at their point of need.

Rephael House provides a confidential environment and aims to create supportive client relationships, enabling clients to work towards living in more satisfying and resourceful ways.

Our Counselling Services offer weekly sessions to clients in our target groups for up to two years. Clients attend an initial assessment session, which is two-way: the client and counsellor decide together if counselling is the appropriate step.

Rephael House provides:

  • A Bereavement Counselling Service for those of any age, experiencing bereavement following miscarriage, termination of pregnancy, stillbirth, death of a baby, or child of any age.

  • A Young People’s Counselling Service offering counselling to anyone aged between 6 and 25, including those with mental health issues, on any issue such as bullying, family problems, relationship problems, eating disorders, etc. We are willing to see young people with mental health issues and are happy to work on an inter-agency basis providing clear confidentiality guidelines are adhered to.

  • A Pregnancy Crisis Service for those of any age offering pregnancy tests, advice, information and support to women, their partners and families who are facing an unexpected or difficult pregnancy. During the pregnancy crisis sessions women can obtain free pregnancy tests, advice and information on all pregnancy outcome options. We refer to other agencies e.g. CAB, FPA, GPs, Adoption Services and GUM clinics as appropriate.  We also offer counselling for women experiencing ante natal or post natal depression.
