Rephael House will endeavour to keep your information and sessions confidential. However, there are some of circumstances in which we are unable to do so, such as child protection issues and illegal activities.
Your counsellor will explain more about our confidentiality policy and answer any questions you might have on your first session. No information will be disclosed to a third party, including your GP, without prior permission from the individual concerned; except in exceptional cases as mentioned above (legal obligation and child protection).
We hold limited factual information about clients on our database to assist with our administrative and statutory obligations. This does not compromise the confidentiality of any individual. All records, whether in paper or electronic form, are kept in secure cabinets and stored at the centre in accordance with the data protection act 1998.
