A counselling session lasts 50 minutes and is offered on the same day at the same time every week.
You will have space to talk about why you have come for counselling at this time. Your counsellor will listen to you and ask you some questions which will help you to think about whether counselling is the right step for you right now.
On this first session you will also be required to complete some administrative forms as well as a CORE form which will help us identify areas in which we may need to focus on in order to help you feel emotionally healthy.
After your first meeting, if you decide that you want to go ahead with counselling, you will meet with your therapist for a futher four sessions. On the fifth session you and your therapist will decide together if this is right for you right now. You may wish to have another couple more sessions and then end, or if this is not the case and you wish continue, you will are able to stay with us for up to three years.
