How much will it cost?

We have a sliding scale system starting from £8 per session, which will be discussed with your counsellor at the first session, however no one will be turned away if they are only able to pay a little.

What is Rephael House?

Rephael House is an independent charity committed to giving a confidential counselling service. Our counselling team is made up of qualified counsellors and trainees who receive regular supervision. As an Organisational Member of BACP we are bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.

Who is our Bereavement Counselling Service for?

Our service is for those who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy, through miscarriage or termination, or a baby, through stillbirth or neonatal death, or have lost a child of any age. Rephael House offers you a safe place to come and talk in private about your situation.

How can Counselling help?

Counselling can help you come to terms with the devastating feelings that can follow these losses. These feelings may persist or surface many years after your loss. Rephael House has trained counsellors who can support you throughout this difficult time.

How long will it take?

We offer an initial session so that you and the counsellor can discuss your situation and decide together whether counselling will be of help to you. We do not believe counselling is a quick fix solution, however for some people a few sessions may be all they need while others may continue for up to two years.
